Zenith Plasma TV P60W38 Review
The Zenith P60W38 60in HDTV Ready Plasma Television is about the thinnest plasma display that I’ve ever seen. Not only is it great looking and thin, the picture is fabulous. The 1000:1 contrast ration and 1000 dc/m2 brightness makes the picture better than any other one I’ve seen on the market.
The level of detail in the picture on this model is unbelievable and the colors are just the brightest. Zenith uses Intelligent Image Scaling to convert the inputs to the correct format, and their technology doesn’t distort any of the picture.
With two modes (4:3 and 16:9) you can view almost anything in the format that you like the best. Operating the unit is easy, and the automatic brightness adjustments take the hassle out of resetting the unit all the time.
We bought this unit because of the gas-plasma display and the promise of better pictures, and boy did it deliver! It’s clear, bright and colorful without being hard to view. No matter how bright the lights are in the room, the picture is still great!
The unit is thin and light enough to hang on the wall or display with ease. There are five sets of inputs, so we’re looking for more stuff to plug into the unit. DVD’s look and sound wonderful, and it can even work with a computer.
We compared this unit with several other 55” and 60” displays by Hitachi, Runco and others, but this one had the sharpest picture by far. If you’re looking to step up to a 60”, try this Zenith. You won’t be sorry.
