JVC 42inch Plasma TV PD-42WX84 Reviewed

JVC entered the plasma television market with its PD-42WX84 42in plasma television. The first plasma model for JVC, called I’ART Palette, this JVC 42 plasma TV was the first to incorporate JVC’s Digital Image Scaling Technology (D. I. S. T.) which upgrades all images.

The picture on this unit is great, and the Digital Super Detail circuitry, Digital Noise Clear Circuitry and JVC’s own Natural Progressive picture improvement systems get the most out of your cable signal. The picture is clear and bright, and scanning lines are really not noticeable.

Regardless of the input, the picture is great quality because JVC uses a dual auto sensing system to analyze the input before it reaches the screen. The sound unit is also first class. JVC has build BBE High Definition Sound Enhancement into this unit, and the 35 watt system really delivers theater like sound. An integrated subwoofer provides clear, booming bass.

The unit itself is great looking, and designed to work with almost any décor. While a the JVC 42inch plasma TV can’t help being a focal point, this unit’s size keeps it from overwhelming your room, while providing the large screen and big picture that you’re looking for.

JVC got their first plasma model right with the PD-42WX84. At about $7000, this model is a great entry into the world of plasma television.
